Patientswith kapha dosha belownormalshould not be treated withvammanatherapies.Women pregnant, who do not havesnehana karma, strong agni(digestive system) people who areunder stress, or hungry and children, elderly, weak person, enlargedcolon, intestinal parasiteslarger prostate and othersin these cases, vamana karmashould be avoided.
2) VIRECHAN
Virechan (purgation)is the 2nd karmaofpanchakarma. It isa widelyused therapy, especially indiseases caused due topitta dosha that is aggravated. The pittadoesha is removedwith force via the anal pathway.The doshas are eliminated withless effort and less hasslecompared to vamana karma.
